WHAT IS KOMBUCHA?
Kombucha is a fermented tea made with a kombucha starter culture and tea prepared with sugar.
WHAT DOES KOMBUCHA TASTE LIKE?
Kombucha offers a unique, complex and intriguing flavour profile- a little bit fruity, tangy, tarty and oaky all at the same time. Though these are the base characteristics of kombucha, different kombucha productions offer completely different styles/experiences, depending on the kind of tea, cultures, ingredients and methods used.

I'M NEW TO KOMBUCHA, HOW MUCH SHOULD I DRINK?
We recommend starting with one bottle per day. Everyone's gut biome is different and introducing more good bacteria should be done gradually. Active bacteria cultures may cause a slight reaction so start slow to allow for your system to adjust. Bottoms up!
I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, CAN I DRINK KOMBUCHA?
Well, that depends. If you're allergic to fruit or certain herbs, read the ingredients first, but our kombucha is GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY-FREE, VEGAN and made with 100% raw, organic ingredients.
SHOULD I DRINK KOMBUCHA IF I HAVE HEALTH ISSUES?
Although kombucha offers an array of benefits to help you achieve optimal health, anyone with a compromised immune system should first talk to their health care professional before adding kombucha to their diet.
SHOULD MY CHILD DRINK KOMBUCHA?
Kombucha is widely accepted as being safe for children but we do recommend starting off with small servings and diluting with water, especially for younger children and toddlers. This will help to neutralise some of the natural acidity without losing the delicious flavour! If your child has a weak or compromised immune system, it is best to check with your GP or healthcare professional before giving them kombucha or any other fermented food, as it does contain live bacteria.

DOES MY NAKED BONDI BOOCH NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?
Yes! Naked Bondi is living, raw kombucha so once bottled, it must be kept refrigerated at all times including in storage. Our dedication to serving Australia's realest booch means that each case of Naked Bondi is delivered to you refrigerated all the way. The reason is that refrigeration stops the creation of ethanol to reduce the chance of a fizz overload (safety first!)
IS NAKED BONDI BOOCH PÉT-NAT? (NATURALLY EFFERVESCENT)
Yes! True to our naked ethos of creating the REALEST kombucha in Australia, our entire process is kept all natural - even down to the bubbles.
DOES NAKED BONDI CONTAIN DAIRY OR ANIMAL PRODUCTS?
No, our kombucha is 100% vegan and dairy free and made from organic tea, sugar, filtered water and a variety of natural fruits and botanicals.
WHY OAK BARRELS?
Brewing in oak barrels imparts a mellow, full-body to the kombucha which brings out unique flavours you can't get from other vessels. The kombucha culture also settles and grows inside the barrel's microscopic gaps and pores, and as the oak 'breathes' so too does the kombucha.
WHAT ARE THE FLOATY THINGS IN MY BOTTLE?
That is the holy mother of SCOBY! Don’t be put off as these are signs of a natural, healthy and living kombucha that is unpasteurised and full of the good stuff. Yes, they are safe to drink.
ARE THERE ANY ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS SUCH AS STEVIA, XYLITOL OR EYRYTHRITOL IN NAKED BONDI BOOCH?
No way. We pride ourselves on keeping things all natural, all the way.
IS NAKED BONDI PASTEURISED?
Absolutely not! Our brew is raw and unpasteurised to maintain all of the natural, healthy, healing properties of real kombucha.

CARING FOR YOUR NAKED BONDI KOMBUCHA AFTER DELIVERY
The reason the kombucha must be refrigerated at all times is also the reason that it is so good for you and so damn tasty!
The probiotics antioxidants, yeasts and acids combined are the ingredients that gives Naked Bondi Kombucha its all natural FIZZ. This is because all these great bacteria multiply by eating away at the sugar in the kombucha, transforming the sugar into carbon dioxide and acid.
This process is super important as it is what makes Naked Bondi's kombucha tangy, alive and bubbly. However, allowing this chain reaction to go on for too long will result in the kombucha being overly bubbly and vinegary. This is called OVER FERMENTATION.
To stop the kombucha from over fermenting and to keep it at its optimal taste and fizz, we need to slow this reaction down. To do this, simply store it in the fridge at all times.
